I had a real struggle rating this one。 The practical stuff is definitely good and I'm happy I read that, but I absolutely hate the American self-help book style。 There is none worse than that。 So the info is worth the read (and definitely practice), but I would probably skip the advertisement, which is the other 85% of the book。 I had a real struggle rating this one。 The practical stuff is definitely good and I'm happy I read that, but I absolutely hate the American self-help book style。 There is none worse than that。 So the info is worth the read (and definitely practice), but I would probably skip the advertisement, which is the other 85% of the book。 。。。more

It is an interesting read。 Everything that the author has said about meditation, a topic that has been covered in Chapter 3 of the book, has undoubtedly been borrowed from Oriental religions like Hinduism and Hindu archaryas like Swamis Rama and Sivananda。 Other concepts like engaging in regular "spiritual" practice, communing with creation, developing large-heartedness, acquiring concentration, importance of "Higher Intelligence" (which he says is not God), powers of thoughts and imagination, a It is an interesting read。 Everything that the author has said about meditation, a topic that has been covered in Chapter 3 of the book, has undoubtedly been borrowed from Oriental religions like Hinduism and Hindu archaryas like Swamis Rama and Sivananda。 Other concepts like engaging in regular "spiritual" practice, communing with creation, developing large-heartedness, acquiring concentration, importance of "Higher Intelligence" (which he says is not God), powers of thoughts and imagination, and the self-healing definitely have their genesis in non-Abrahamic religions。I shall recommend this book to anyone who wants to acquire control of his life, mind and thoughts without having to be affiliated to any dogma or faith。 。。。more

Loved this book

Wish it didn’t end so abruptly because the guiding exercises in the beginning are pure gold。 Wish they kept it up through the end。

The concept of the book was brilliant。 This book was suggested by the CEO of Mindvalley, so that’s how I got to read this book。 I like the visualization and meditation techniques explained in the book。 But I am sorry to say that the book would be enemy for grammer nazis, it had certain writing errors。 The book also focuses that brainwashing for good work should be normalize。

The Silva Method is a self-help and meditation program developed by José Silva。 The book gives the fundamentals of the program but not the entire training and practises of course。

Axmed Bahjad

I listened to the audiobook。

Thank you Dino DeLano! Self improvement comes long and hard!

I enjoyed it very much。 As ir previously read on some reviews, the book has a lot of examples of how the course worked for other people。 In some cases, these examples are great because they help you better understand the point, but in some other cases it is just not worth reading all the examples。 Overall, I enjoyed the book。 I did not enjoy the last 2 or 3 chapters。

Not really sure to think about this book。 I will definitely give the trainings a try, as the main concepts seem plausible for visualisation。 But the book is also filled with some mumbo-jumbo about guessing lotto numbers etc。 And a lot of commercials for the programme trainings。 The actual valuable parts are very short。

Aritra Raymukherjee

It is one of the most transformational books I have read till now。

60% useful, 40% BS。 If you know how to skim a writer's book, please go ahead and learn deep techniques of meditation or be another critique。 60% useful, 40% BS。 If you know how to skim a writer's book, please go ahead and learn deep techniques of meditation or be another critique。 。。。more

It is written convinsingly。 Not sure about the system yet, but I will need to reread it for that

The book makes a few good points, however after a certain point it becomes more of a rather aggressive ad for Mind Control classes。

A super quick read to enable you to think outside the normative construct of what truly limits you。 It reaffirmed some mindsets I already encompass。 If you're open to allowing your thoughts to not restrict your success, this is a great listen。 A super quick read to enable you to think outside the normative construct of what truly limits you。 It reaffirmed some mindsets I already encompass。 If you're open to allowing your thoughts to not restrict your success, this is a great listen。 。。。more

I find the techniques interesting but the second part of the book was completely on marketing and it’s a turn off , I lost interest。 I will revisit the techniques just to gain clarity and try them。

Probably best to just find a way to take the course。 The book is mostly a commercial for the course with some info sprinkled in。

It's more like a marketing brochure for the mindfulness classes presented by the author of this book。 It doesn't have much information other than persuading readers to believe in Silva and plan for registering for the trainings。 It's more like a marketing brochure for the mindfulness classes presented by the author of this book。 It doesn't have much information other than persuading readers to believe in Silva and plan for registering for the trainings。 。。。more

Writing is not the best, but techniques are effective to the point of mind blowing。 Limitless applications。 Many audible books on the topic that contain meditations。 Production quality is 1990s, but content the base of so many systems that have followed。

David Calloway

loved it

Jose Silva (1914-1999) was a self-made Mexican-American whose insights and experiments into mental functioning and mind control led him to write and sell several millions of this book from the late 1970s to the present。 I do not know whether Silva's later findings into ESP are valid; I can say this book has helped me focus on past events, especially finding "lost" items that my mind has made record of and merely need to be accessed by means of Mind Control。 Jose Silva (1914-1999) was a self-made Mexican-American whose insights and experiments into mental functioning and mind control led him to write and sell several millions of this book from the late 1970s to the present。 I do not know whether Silva's later findings into ESP are valid; I can say this book has helped me focus on past events, especially finding "lost" items that my mind has made record of and merely need to be accessed by means of Mind Control。 。。。more

Die deutsche Version des Hörbuchs ist super schlecht。 Mieser Sprecher und ein Buch mit vielen Übungen, die aber nur vorgelesen werden ohne eine Übersicht als PDF ist einfach unbrauchbar。
